Make sure you install new pinballs in your machine at least once a year.
Never spray glass cleaner directly on the backglass.
Check your pin is level side to side.
Never raise or lower any playfield with the game on. A connection with power can short on the metal sides of the cabinet or lock bar in the front and damage the game's harness, circuit boards or if you are lucky just a fuse.
Use the lock nuts on the leg levelers. Make sure they are under the leg and tightened once the pin is level. The lock nuts help support the weight and keep the threaded hole in the leg from wearing out prematurely.
Never change bulbs or flashers with the game on. Lamp or flasher voltage could be shorted into the switch matrix which will ruin your MPU.
Tool Tip: when you need your Philips screwdriver to be magnetized, rub the screwdriver bit on the big speaker magnet at the bottom of the cabinet.
Never leave your game running unattended for long periods of time. The older games can have age stressed electronic parts which can fail causing coils to become hot and even start a fire.
Clean and wax your playfield and change the rubber rings at least once a year. The wax will protect the playfield's art work and the new rubber will keep the game action at peak performance.
Just bought an older game that needs help? Send the boards to us to be refurbished and clean the playfield while they are gone. By the time the boards return your old classic pin will look and play great!
